Research Misconduct
JCSR takes allegations of research and publication misconduct seriously. Allegations may concern plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, undisclosed conflicts of interest, manipulation of the peer-review process, or other practices that undermine the integrity of scholarly publication.
Reporting a Concern
Concerns should be submitted to the editorial office at jcsr@unida.gontor.ac.id. Whenever possible, the report should identify the article or manuscript concerned, describe the nature of the allegation, and provide supporting information or evidence. Reports should be made in good faith and should contain sufficient detail to allow an initial assessment.
Initial Assessment and Investigation
The editor-in-chief, or an editor designated by the journal, will assess whether the concern falls within the journal's remit and whether the information provided warrants further inquiry. The journal may request additional information from the person raising the concern, the author(s), reviewers, or relevant institutions.
Where necessary, JCSR may consult the publisher, the authors' institutions, or other appropriate bodies. Individuals with a relevant conflict of interest must not participate in the assessment or decision.
Fairness and Confidentiality
Concerns will be handled as confidentially as reasonably possible. The person or persons concerned will be given an appropriate opportunity to respond to the allegations. The journal will seek to assess the available evidence impartially and will not treat an allegation as established misconduct before it has been adequately evaluated.
Possible Outcomes
Depending on the findings and the status of the work, actions may include no further action, a request for clarification or correction, rejection of a manuscript, publication of a correction or expression of concern, retraction of a published article, or referral to the relevant institution or other appropriate body.
Any action affecting the published scholarly record will be taken by the journal's editorial leadership in consultation with the publisher, as appropriate, and will be communicated transparently. The response will be proportionate to the nature and seriousness of the findings.
